Bidhannagar Mayor Krishna Chakraborty resigns, another massive blow to TMC
BJP’s Asansol South MLA Agnimitra Paul was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata’s Bypass area late Wednesday night after she complained of breathing difficulties. Hospital sources confirmed that she was brought in around midnight and was given immediate medical attention. Doctors monitoring her treatment stated on Thursday that her condition is stable.
Paul, a prominent BJP leader in West Bengal, has been actively participating in political programs and frequently visiting her constituency since joining the party. Her sudden health problem has caused concern among her family members and supporters, who gathered at the hospital following the news of her admission. Details regarding her discharge or further treatment are yet to be confirmed.
The development comes ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to West Bengal on Friday. The Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate a metro project and address a rally in Dum Dum. Invitations had been extended to several state BJP leaders, including Agnimitra Paul, though her hospitalisation has raised uncertainty over her presence at the event.
